  • Another top-quality instrument from Paul, if you have a look on the photos you can have an idea about his skills as a yiḏaki maker: this wall, fine finish, perfect chisel-work at the bell and mouth, and overall a good choice of log with clear, open aperture. Nice transition, responsive and great acoustics, highly recommended for collectors and serious players.

  • A great stick with rich acoustics, easy transition to the 'dups' and superb craftsmanship - look at other instruments from Paul Maymuru, he consistently delivers the same quality. Same as his other works, this instrument is recommended for didgeridoo player both beginners or experienced.

  • A great yiḏaki from Ŋoŋu with medium backpressure, easy transition between the horn and drone; the instrument is responsive to tongue and lip movements. The sound has a murky feel to it, that gives interesting, unusual acoustics to its sound.

Key: Eb Length: 140cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 2.8cm AVAILABLE WITH DOMESTIC SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN AUSTRALIA. For details and specifications see 'Additional information' tab below. Listen to this yiḏaki here:
  • A straight-forward great yiḏaki from Ŋoŋu with medium backpressure, and easy transition between the horn and drone. The sound has a nice warm feel to it, especially after a few minutes as it warms up. I recommend this great stick for both traditional and contemporary players - a great value for money!

Key: D Length: 146cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 3-3.2cm Available from Sydney, Australia with worldwide shipping For details and specifications see 'Additional information' tab below. Listen to this yiḏaki here:
  • A pretty instrument with slim body, medium to high backpressure and lots of high tones in the sound. The internal chamber is quite thin all the way through, that gives an interesting feel to this mako: if you push the air in with the support of your lower stomach, you can hear crisp, higher tones. This stick sings in C#. I recommend this excellent mako for traditional players.

Key: C# Length: 128.5cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 3-3.5cm Available from NSW, Australia with worldwide shipping Listen to this mako here:
  • A great yiḏaki for trad-heads from a young master-maker and ceremonial player. The wall of the instrument is thick and solid, mouthpiece is comfortable and shaped by applying a layer of fixative. The backpressure is well-balanced and serves the player well; the transition between the drone and toot is easy, the sound is full of harmonics. A great catch, highly recommended for those who are looking for a stick to practice traditional rhythms.

Key: F Length: 134.5cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 2.6cm AVAILABLE WITH DOMESTIC SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN AUSTRALIA. For details and specifications see the ‘Additional information‘ tab below. Listen to this yiḏaki here:
  • Djul'djul is a senior artist, the wife of the legendary yiḏaki maker B.Wunuŋmurra who passed a few years ago. Djul'djul was heavily involved in the yiḏaki business, painting the instruments made by her late husband, so probably many of you are familiar with her work. I do not have information on who made the instrument, usually Djul'djul's grandsons are involved in the process. The instrument has medium backpressure, it is responsive and easy to play. The too is easy to hit, the wall is solid therefore the sound is straight-forward. I recommend this excellent yiḏaki for traditional fans.

Key: Eb Length: 135cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 3cm AVAILABLE WITH DOMESTIC SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN AUSTRALIA. For details and specifications see the 'Additional information' tab below.

  • A unique yiḏaki in the deeper key range with medium to low backpressure and full-bodied sound. The chamber is quite open all the way through - I even had to use some wax on you mouthpiece since the opening was a little wide for me - and opens up in a tapered bell. Even though the instrument feels like a slow player at first, it is capable for faster rhythms after warmed up. I recommend this excellent stick for both traditional and contemporary players.

Key: C# Length: 162cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 3.3cm AVAILABLE WITH DOMESTIC SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN AUSTRALIA. For details and specifications see the 'Additional information' tab below.

  • An easy to play yiḏaki from Dhapa, with medium backpressure, tight bore and good transition between the drone and the dups. I recommend it for both traditional and contemporary players

  • A top-player instrument for those who wish to practice the kunborrk style of Central and West Arnhem Land. This instrument has a characteristic sound and resonance with medium backpressure, plenty of acoustics and resonant body with thin walls. I highly recommend this excellent mako for those players, who want to sharpen their skills on West Arnhem style.

Key: C# Length: 144cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 4cm (waxed) AVAILABLE WITH DOMESTIC SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN AUSTRALIA. For details and specifications see the ‘Additional information‘ tab below. Listen to this mako here:
  • A highly-resonant mako with spacious internal chamber, conical shape, and meditative sound full of harmonics. Due to the medium to low backpressure, this instrument is suitable for slow, melodic playing style. There is a repair on the middle-part of the body, a hole patched up with wax (see on the photo). An excellent instrument and superb sound.

Key: C Length: 139cm Mouthpiece internal diameter: 4cm (waxed) Available from NSW, Australia with worldwide shipping For details and specifications see the ‘Additional information‘ tab below. Listen to this mako here:
  • An old-style yiḏaki with slim body, confined chamber and super-nice growl; this instrument has a quite low backpressure, but great playabilities. The sound feels deep and earthy, the toot is easy to play and sound great over the drone. I recommend this instrument for those, who are looking for 'something different'.
