The internal chamber is quite thin all the way through, that gives an interesting feel to this mako: if you push the air in with the support of your lower stomach, you can hear crisp, higher tones. Djul'djul was heavily involved in the yiḏaki business, painting the instruments made by her late husband, so probably many of you are familiar with her work. I do not have information on who made the instrument, usually Djul'djul's grandsons are involved in the process. The instrument has medium backpressure, it is responsive and easy to play. The too is easy to hit, the wall is solid therefore the sound is straight-forward. I recommend this excellent yiḏaki for traditional fans.

A unique yiḏaki in the deeper key range with medium to low backpressure and full-bodied sound. The chamber is quite open all the way through - I even had to use some wax on you mouthpiece since the opening was a little wide for me - and opens up in a tapered bell. Even though the instrument feels like a slow player at first, it is capable for faster rhythms after warmed up. I recommend this excellent stick for both traditional and contemporary players.
