  • A big-gun from Old Man with an impressive big bell, and high volume; the backpressure is high, the chamber is open and the air flows through properly. The player needs a good lung capacity to be able to 'pump' this instrument to reach its real potential. Perhaps some wax on the mouthpiece will make it more comfortable to play. There are a few movements on the timber seen around the mouthpiece, so I offer this instrument on a reduced price; I recommend it for someone who is looking for an instrument to practice and build up lung capacity and not feeling confindent to potentially repair cracks. The instrument is sealed with tung oil and gum turpentine.
