A unique opportunity for collectors to acquire a yiḏaki born out of a collaborative effort between two of the greatest makers, facilitated by the Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre. The instrument was crafted by Marikuku Wirrpanda in Biranybirany homeland in Caledon Bay on the eastern side of the Gove Peninsula, and painted by Ŋoŋu Ganambarr with Daṯiwuy clan designs depicting the murky waters of Arnhem Bay near Rorruwuy homeland, located on the western side of the Peninsula.

This yiḏaki has excellent playing characteristics: medium backpressure, high responsiveness to tongue and lip movements, and an easy transition between drone and toot. The sound is direct and rich in overtones, with a crisp ‘taste’. A perfect instrument for yiḏaki lovers.
